Replace Newlines with Commas
Turn a vertical list into one comma-separated line locally in your browser.
Blank lines are removed. Non-empty lines, including leading and trailing spaces, are joined with comma-space. LF, CRLF, and CR line endings are supported.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste text with one item per line.
- Replace the line breaks with comma-space.
- Review and copy the result.
Line ending handling
LF, CRLF, and CR line endings are recognized. A trailing line ending does not add a trailing comma because the resulting empty line is removed.
Whitespace and bounds
Lines whose trimmed content is empty are removed. Other lines stay exactly as entered, including leading and trailing spaces. Input is limited to 100,000 characters.
Local plain text processing
This is a literal text formatter, not a CSV parser. It does not quote commas or parse escaped fields, and processing stays in your browser.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Are blank lines removed?
Yes. Lines that are empty after trimming are removed.
Are spaces on non-empty lines trimmed?
No. Leading and trailing spaces on non-empty lines are preserved.
What happens to a final newline?
It creates an empty final line, which is removed, so no trailing comma is added.
Does it parse CSV?
No. It joins plain text with comma-space and does not quote or parse fields.
