Response Time Calculator

Enter one nonnegative response duration per line to summarize your own response-time observations locally.

Enter one nonnegative duration per line. Calendar or business time is your own input meaning; unanswered cases and backlog are excluded unless you include them.

This summarizes the durations you provide. It does not make an SLA recommendation.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter up to 10,000 finite, nonnegative durations in minutes, one per line.
  2. Choose Calculate to sort the values and compute count, arithmetic mean, and median.
  3. Interpret calendar time or business time according to your own input definition; unanswered cases and backlog are excluded unless you enter them.

Input contract

Each non-empty line must contain one finite, nonnegative decimal number in minutes. The list is limited to 120,000 UTF-16 characters and 10,000 rows; each value is at most Number.MAX_SAFE_INTEGER ÷ 10,000.

User-defined time meaning

A duration may represent calendar time or business time according to your own measurement convention. Unanswered cases and backlog are excluded unless you supply them as rows.

Descriptive summary only

The result is a local arithmetic summary of the values you provide. It does not recommend an SLA, target, staffing level, or operational policy.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Are the durations uploaded?

No. Parsing, sorting, and calculation happen in this browser.

What does the median mean?

After sorting the entered durations, the median is the middle value, or the average of the two middle values when the count is even.

Does it include unanswered cases or backlog?

Only if you enter those cases as durations. The tool does not infer or add them.
