A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter a timestamp including a date, time, seconds, and offset.
  2. Validate its syntax and calendar fields.
  3. If valid, review the precise UTC instant represented by the offset.

Strict offset-aware input

The value must include seconds and Z or a numeric offset such as +05:30. Local date-times without an offset are rejected because their UTC instant is ambiguous.

Calendar validation

The date and time fields must form a valid calendar date and clock time, in addition to matching the expected RFC 3339 structure.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Are date-only values valid?

No. This validator requires a full date-time and an explicit offset.

Can I omit the time-zone offset?

No. Include Z for UTC or a numeric offset; the tool does not guess a local time zone.
