A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter a title up to 120 characters and a description up to 320 characters.
  2. Review the mobile and desktop cards as text changes.
  3. Use the length counters as guidance, then verify the final result in your own search context.

Character guidance, not a ranking rule

The title accepts up to 120 characters and the description up to 320 characters. The preview displays the first 60 title characters and 155 description characters on mobile, and 70 title characters and 180 description characters on desktop, adding an ellipsis when text is longer. Counts use JavaScript UTF-16 code units, so emoji and some symbols may count as two.

A local approximation

No network request is made. Font, device width, search features, language, query terms, and Google rewriting can change the visible result. This tool does not measure pixels, predict rankings, or guarantee how Google will display a snippet.
