A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste one supported date or timestamp per line.
- Choose ascending or descending order and an output format.
- Sort, review invalid lines, and copy the result.
Supported input formats
ISO 8601 dates and date-times, SQL date-times, unambiguous US or EU numeric dates, long and short English month names, and Unix timestamps in seconds or milliseconds are supported. A slash date whose day and month are both 12 or less is rejected as ambiguous.
Stable and loss-aware
Sorting is stable, so equal timestamps and duplicate lines retain their original order. Invalid lines are reported and block sorting unless you choose to remove them; the tool never silently guesses a format.
Local processing
Parsing and sorting happen in this browser. No dates are uploaded or stored.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Are duplicates removed?
No. Duplicate values are retained, and equal timestamps keep their original order.
What happens to an ambiguous date?
The line is rejected with its line number. For example, 03/04/2024 needs an explicit US or EU convention and is not guessed.
Which Unix timestamps are accepted?
Finite 10-digit seconds and 13-digit milliseconds are accepted. Other numeric values are rejected to avoid accidental unit guesses.
Is my input uploaded?
No. The tool runs locally in your browser.
