Split Time Calculator

Plan even running or race splits from distance, decimal minutes and a split count.

In-browser processingNo account requiredPrivacy details ↗

Enter a finite distance and time, and a whole split count from 1 to 1,000.

Time uses decimal minutes: 52.5 means 52 minutes 30 seconds.

Even pace is a plan; terrain, fatigue and pacing vary. GPS/watch readings can differ from official timing mats. No fatigue prediction or medical/coaching advice.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter total distance in kilometres, total time in decimal minutes, and the number of splits.
  2. Calculate an even average pace and per-split values.
  3. Use the table, chart, copy, or CSV download for your plan.

How it works

The calculator keeps time in seconds internally, then divides distance and time evenly for each split. It is a pacing plan: terrain, fatigue and pacing cause variation, and GPS or watch readings can differ from official timing mats. It does not predict fatigue or provide medical or coaching advice.
