Enter two canonical IPv4 CIDR networks.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter two IPv4 CIDR networks.
  2. Summarise them and review the covering range.
  3. Compare announced and covered addresses and efficiency.

Exact CIDR only

Both inputs must be canonical IPv4 CIDR networks. The tool returns a supernet only when the two ranges are equal-sized, adjacent, and aligned to the resulting prefix.

Local and bounded

Only two textual IPv4 networks are parsed. No routing table or network service is consulted; invalid, overlapping, non-adjacent, or differently sized ranges are rejected.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does it summarise arbitrary ranges?

No. It combines exactly two equal-size adjacent CIDR networks.

What is efficiency?

It compares the two announced addresses with the single summarised address.

Does it connect to the network?

No. Calculation is entirely local.
