A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Paste Version A and Version B.
  2. Create a two-way union merge.
  3. Review every conflict block, then copy or download the merged text.

Two-way union merge

Shared lines appear once. Lines between shared anchors are retained from both versions inside labelled conflict markers, including an empty side when only one version has content.

No common ancestor

This is not a three-way merge and cannot tell an addition from a deletion. Review and resolve every marker before using the result.

Local limits

Each version is limited to 100,000 characters and 2,000 lines. The LCS is limited to 2,000,000 line pairs and output to 400,000 characters.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does this replace Git merge?

No. Use a version-control merge when a common base exists.

Can it silently discard a unique line?

No. Every line aligned as unique to either side is included in a marked block.
