Time On Page

Choose the signals to measure and copy a browser-only snippet. It reports to a callback you provide; this tool collects nothing.

Configure the snippet. It runs locally and calls your callback only.

The snippet has no endpoint and does not collect data here. Your callback decides whether to send or store anything.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Set the idle threshold and choose the browser signals to include.
  2. Enter the callback function name that your own page will provide.
  3. Generate and copy the snippet, then review its data handling before installing it.

Browser-side measurement

The snippet measures elapsed, active, idle, and hidden time, with optional scroll depth and interaction counts. It uses page events and does not contact a server by itself.

You control collection

The callback is supplied by the site owner. If that callback sends analytics or stores data, review its consent, privacy, retention, and service requirements before deployment.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does this tool track my visitors?

No. It only generates source code locally. The snippet runs only on a page where you install it.

Does the generated snippet send data anywhere?

No endpoint is included. It calls your callback, which may send or store data if you implement it that way.

Can I measure only active time?

Yes. Keep visibility enabled and choose an idle threshold; the callback receives separate active, idle, and hidden totals.
