Transition Words Checker
Paste prose to find English transition words, flag paragraphs without connectors, and review a local flow score.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste text with blank lines separating paragraphs.
- Analyze the text to detect the supported English transition vocabulary.
- Review the score, categories, and paragraphs that need connective flow.
English vocabulary scope
The checker recognizes a curated set of common English transition words and phrases, including addition, contrast, cause/effect, sequence, emphasis, example, and conclusion. It does not translate text or judge grammar.
Local paragraph flow
Paragraphs are split on blank lines. A paragraph with no recognized transition is flagged. Paragraphs shorter than 10 word-like tokens are excluded from the overall score, while every paragraph remains visible in the report.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Is my text uploaded?
No. Detection runs in your browser and the text is not sent to a server.
Does this support every language?
The interface is available in six languages, but the detection vocabulary is English only. Text in other languages may be reported as having no recognized transitions.
Does a high score prove good writing?
No. The score only measures whether paragraphs contain a supported English connector; it is a writing aid, not a grammar or quality judgment.
