Tree Planting Calculator

Enter planting count, expected survival, annual uptake per surviving tree, and years. The calculator reports a transparent estimate, not a carbon offset.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter your planting and survival assumptions.
  2. Enter the annual CO₂ value and time period.
  3. Review surviving trees and the estimated total.

User-supplied assumptions

Survival and annual CO₂ uptake vary by species, age, climate, soil, management, disturbance, measurement method, and time horizon. This tool uses only the values you provide and does not verify them.

Estimate, not offset accounting

The result is an arithmetic scenario estimate. It does not prove additionality, permanence, leakage, verification, ownership, or eligibility for a carbon credit or offset.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Where do the survival and CO₂ values come from?

You provide them from your own plan or a source you trust. The tool does not recommend species values or validate studies.

Does the result represent a carbon offset?

No. It is an estimate based on user inputs and does not establish a credit, offset, or climate claim.

What is calculated?

Surviving trees equal planted trees × survival percentage. Estimated CO₂ equals surviving trees × annual kg per tree × years.
