Validate Phone
Enter an international phone number to check its characters, digit count, and a small source-documented country-prefix table. This is an approximate format check, not proof that a number is assigned, active, reachable, or owned.
Result
- Digits
- Country prefix
This local check does not prove assignment, service, reachability, or ownership.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter one number using an optional + country prefix and common separators.
- Review the digit count and the recognized source-table country prefix.
- Use the result as a format hint only; no network request or number lookup is made.
Checks performed
The browser checks only allowed visible characters, a leading + convention, total digit count from 7 to 15, and the six common prefixes documented by the source page: +1, +44, +49, +81, +86, and +91.
Why the result is approximate
This tool has no libphonenumber data, complete numbering-plan tables, carrier lookup, or verification call. It cannot establish that a number is valid, assigned, active, reachable, or owned.
Private by design
The input is processed in memory in your browser. It is not uploaded, queried against an API, or stored.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Does this prove that the phone number works?
No. It only reports a conservative, approximate format result.
Which country prefixes are recognized?
The source page’s common table lists +1, +44, +49, +81, +86, and +91. Other prefixes are reported as unrecognized rather than guessed.
Is my number uploaded?
No. All checks run locally in your browser.
