A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter a URL up to 10,000 characters.
  2. Choose Validate URL to parse it locally.
  3. Review the protocol, host, port, path, query, and fragment when the syntax is valid.

Syntax and structure only

This tool uses the browser WHATWG URL parser. It checks URL formatting and displays parsed components; it never opens, fetches, resolves, or sends the address anywhere.

Accepted schemes and input

Absolute URLs may use http, https, ftp, mailto, file, or tel. A host without a scheme may be interpreted with https:// and is marked with a warning. Relative paths and unsupported schemes are rejected.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does validation check whether the URL works?

No. It checks syntax and structure only. It does not test reachability, a page, a certificate, DNS, or server response.

Can I enter example.com without a scheme?

Yes. The tool tries https://example.com and tells you that https:// was assumed.

Are relative paths accepted?

No. Enter an absolute URL or a host that can be prefixed with https://.
