Formula and units
Total sets = ceil(capacity × sets per space). Spare sets = total sets − capacity. The ratio covers one set per active space plus your laundering reserve. Decimal multiplication and upward rounding are exact.
Scope
Capacity and outputs must be nonnegative safe integers, and the ratio must be a finite value of at least 1. You choose the reserve; no industry default or recommended ratio is supplied. This is an inventory calculation only.
