Formula and units
Volume = rate (mL/kg/day) × weight (kg) × hours / 24. Enter the rate established for the patient; there is no built-in clinical rate.
Scope
This arithmetic applies a constant user-supplied rate. It does not select a rate, species, fluid, route or treatment and excludes deficits, ongoing losses and fluid already received. Clinical assessment and monitoring remain separate.
