Veterinary Multi-Patient Fluid Total Calculator

Add already determined fluid-plan volumes for individual patients and calculate the arithmetic mean.

In-browser processingNo account requiredPrivacy details ↗

Total mL = sum of entered plan volumes. Mean mL/patient = total ÷ number of entries.

This summarizes existing individual plans. It does not prescribe fluids, allocate the total or suggest giving each patient the mean. Patients may have different needs, fluid types and delivery plans. Do not pool or replace individual clinical instructions.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter each patient's already determined plan volume on its own line, using only the number in mL.
  2. Use matching plan periods; enter at least one and at most 1,000 patients, then calculate.
  3. Calculate, then copy the report or download TXT.

Calculation

Total mL = sum of entered plan volumes. Mean mL/patient = total ÷ number of entries.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Is the mean a recommended volume for each patient?

No. It is a descriptive arithmetic mean only. Retain each patient's independently determined plan.

Can I mix hourly and daily volumes?

No. Choose the same plan period for every entry before adding them. Do not enter patient names or identifiers.
