Wheel Offset Calculator

Enter wheel widths and offsets in millimetres to calculate geometric clearance deltas; this is not fitment or safety advice.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter old and new width and offset.
  2. Calculate the inner and outer clearance changes.
  3. Use the geometry as a reference and verify the actual vehicle separately.

Geometry

Inner change is (new width − old width)/2 + (new offset − old offset). Outer change is (new width − old width)/2 − (new offset − old offset). Positive inner means closer to suspension; positive outer means farther outward.

Units and limitations

All inputs are millimetres. The calculation describes wheel geometry only and does not include tyre shape, hub, brake, arch, steering, suspension travel, spacers, or manufacturer tolerances.

No fitment assurance

The result is not a safety, legal, handling, or fitment guarantee. Verify the complete setup with the vehicle and wheel manufacturer or a qualified technician.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

What does positive inner mean?

The new wheel geometry is closer to the suspension side by that many millimetres.

Does this calculate tyre clearance?

No. It only compares wheel width and offset geometry.

Can I use inches?

Convert all values to millimetres first so the comparison uses one unit.
