A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Paste up to 1 MB of text.
  2. Choose trimming, space, newline, and blank-line rules.
  3. Normalize locally and copy the result.

Explicit whitespace policy

Line endings CRLF and CR become LF. Trim lines uses JavaScript String.trim() on every line, which removes ECMAScript Unicode whitespace and line terminators at each line edge. Collapse spaces affects ASCII space (U+0020) only; Tabs to spaces converts U+0009 tabs to one ASCII space. Other Unicode whitespace is preserved unless trimming removes it at a line edge.

Lines and blank lines

Collapse newlines changes consecutive LF characters to one LF. Remove blank lines removes lines that contain only Unicode whitespace after line-ending normalization; it does not remove meaningful text.

Local processing

Input is limited to 1 MB of text and stays in this browser. No upload, language detection, translation, or semantic rewriting is performed.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Which line endings are recognized?

CRLF and CR are normalized to LF, and existing LF is preserved.

Does collapsing spaces change every Unicode space?

No. It collapses ASCII spaces and tabs only. JavaScript trim still recognizes ECMAScript Unicode whitespace at edges.

Can blank lines be removed?

Yes. Enable Remove blank lines to drop lines that contain only Unicode whitespace.
