Local and bounded
The selected PDF is read and rewritten in this browser only. Files are limited to 50 MB and 500 pages so browser memory remains practical.
PDF compatibility
The tool uses pdf-lib to reserialize the document. Password-protected, encrypted, signed, XFA, damaged, and unusually complex PDFs may be rejected. Reserialization can remove unsupported interactive or advanced features, so keep the original.
Private output
Your PDF and settings are not uploaded, stored, or sent to a server. The download is a real application/pdf file.

Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Reading, numbering, rewriting, previewing, and downloading happen locally in your browser.
Can I start numbering at another value?
Yes. Enter any starting number from 1 to 999,999; later pages continue sequentially.
Will the original PDF remain unchanged?
The original local file is not changed. The download is a newly serialized PDF; keep the original if it contains advanced features.
Why was my PDF rejected?
It may be over 50 MB or 500 pages, password-protected, encrypted, signed, XFA-based, damaged, or unsupported by the browser PDF writer.
