This tool compares dates at midnight UTC. It is designed for whole calendar days and avoids browser time-zone or daylight-saving changes affecting the answer.
Inclusive and exclusive end dates
When the end date is included, one calendar day is added to the elapsed difference. The start date is always included as the beginning of the range.

Is the end date included?
You can choose either. The default excludes it, matching the elapsed time between two calendar midnights.
Does this account for leap years?
Yes. The browser date engine uses the proleptic Gregorian calendar, including leap years.
Does daylight saving time change the result?
No. Dates are compared at UTC midnight, so the result is a stable calendar-day count.
Can I enter the dates in reverse order?
No. The end date must be on or after the start date.
