Search checks those local labels and does not request a remote emoji catalog, font, or analytics service. Emoji appearance can differ by device, operating system, and installed fonts.

A skin-tone selector affects the listed hand and person emoji that support a Unicode modifier; other emoji keep their normal form. Your working text is kept in the current page only. Does this picker contain every Unicode emoji?
No. It intentionally includes a compact set of common emoji so the page remains lightweight and works without downloading a catalog. Search the included names, keywords, and categories.
Why does an emoji look different on another device?
The Unicode character is the same, but its artwork comes from the operating system or browser font. Some newer emoji may display as a plain symbol on older systems.
What is saved in local storage?
Only the most recent emoji selections, up to 18 values, are stored by this browser under the Hello Keyboard Tools emoji-picker key. The accumulated text is not saved after you leave or refresh the page.
