A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Paste text up to 100,000 characters.
  2. Choose the interval and whether it counts characters or words.
  3. Add line breaks, review the plain-text result, and copy it.

Characters or words

Character mode splits by Unicode code points. Word mode groups whitespace-separated words and joins each group with a single space.

Plain-text and local processing

The result is written to a text area, so HTML-like input is never parsed or rendered as markup. Processing stays in this browser.

Bounded input

Input is limited to 100,000 characters and the interval must be an integer from 1 through 10,000.
