A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter an angle and choose its source unit.
  2. Optionally wrap it into 0–360 degrees, then choose display precision.
  3. Review all six units and sine, cosine, and tangent.

Conversion factors

Degrees are the base: degree 1, radian 180/π, gradian 0.9, turn 360, arcminute 1/60, arcsecond 1/3600. Values convert through degrees.

Wrapping and precision

Wrapping maps equivalent angles to [0°, 360°). Display rounding does not change the internal value; choose 0–12 decimal places.

Tangent singularities

Tangent is undefined at 90° + 180°k, rather than displaying a meaningless floating-point spike.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

What does wrap do?

It maps an equivalent angle to 0° inclusive through 360° exclusive.

Why is tangent undefined?

Cosine is zero at 90° plus multiples of 180°, so sine divided by cosine is undefined.
