Audio Splitter

Create separate audio clips in your browser. Choose equal parts, exact second marks, or amplitude-based silence detection; nothing is uploaded.

The browser decodes one file up to 25 MB, 10 minutes, 96 kHz, stereo, and 24 million channel-samples. A split may create 2–20 pieces. Every download is a new little-endian 16-bit PCM WAV; source encoding, metadata, markers, and cover art are not preserved.

Choose an audio file. Processing starts only when you split.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Choose one browser-decodable audio file within the local limits.
  2. Choose equal parts, enter manual second marks, or configure silence detection.
  3. Create, preview, and download each new 16-bit PCM WAV piece.

Three precise split modes

Equal mode divides decoded frames as evenly as possible. Manual mode accepts comma-separated seconds. Silence mode places one boundary at the midpoint of each continuous run whose absolute amplitude stays below the selected threshold for the minimum quiet time; it does not recognize speech or meaning.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Which input formats work?

Any audio format your current browser can decode may work. The extension alone does not guarantee support.

Does silence mode remove silence?

No. It places a boundary at the middle of each qualifying quiet run, so the surrounding pieces retain the quiet audio on either side.

Are files uploaded?

No. Decoding, splitting, previews, and WAV creation stay in this browser.
