A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter a temperature and choose its unit.
  2. Choose the source oven type.
  3. Read conventional °C, °F, fan °C, and nearest Gas Mark results.

Approximate oven rules

Fan settings are treated as 20°C below conventional. Gas Mark uses the nearest value in a common table: 1=135°C, 2=150°C, 3=165°C, 4=177°C, 5=190°C, 6=200°C, 7=220°C, 8=230°C, 9=240°C.

Boundaries

Inputs are limited to 0–500°C-equivalent. Oven calibration, recipes, altitude, and regional tables vary, so use these as practical approximations.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Are these exact conversions?

No. Fan and Gas Mark guidance varies by oven and region; treat the results as practical approximations.
