A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter a reverse-DNS identifier.
  2. Validate and review the normalized lowercase form.
  3. Copy the result if it is valid.

Conservative syntax

Accepts 1–255 ASCII characters, dot-separated labels, letters, digits, and hyphens. Labels start and end with a letter or digit; empty labels, underscores, spaces, and leading hyphens are rejected.

Local validation

This tool checks text only and never contacts Apple or another registry. It does not claim that an identifier is available or registered.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Is case changed?

Valid ASCII letters are shown in lowercase as the normalized form.

Are underscores allowed?

No. This conservative reverse-DNS syntax accepts letters, digits, and internal hyphens only.

Does validation reserve the ID?

No. It only checks syntax locally.
