0 and 1 only; up to 10,000 bits per value. Result width is the longer input.

Enter two binary values to begin.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter only 0 and 1 characters in each operand.
  2. Use up to 10,000 bits per operand.
  3. Calculate to see the result padded to the longer input width.

Unsigned binary strings

Each operand is a non-empty string containing only 0 and 1. The calculation never treats the first bit as a sign bit or uses two’s-complement interpretation.

Explicit fixed width

The result width is the longer written operand, up to 10,000 bits. Shorter inputs are left-padded with zeroes before AND, then NAND complements only within that width.

Local calculation

Validation and calculation run locally in your browser. No input is uploaded or stored.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

What width does NAND use?

It uses the longer input length. The shorter operand is padded on the left with zeroes, and the complement is limited to that width.

Are signed or two’s-complement values supported?

No. Every input is an unsigned bit string; a leading 1 is an ordinary value bit.

Can I use spaces or a 0b prefix?

No. Enter only 0 and 1, without spaces, separators, signs, or prefixes.
