A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Paste up to 50,000 characters of English prose.
  2. Find case-insensitive matches from the built-in phrase list.
  3. Review highlighted phrases in context and decide whether to revise them.

A small, visible phrase list

The built-in English list includes phrases such as “at the end of the day”, “think outside the box”, and “low-hanging fruit”, plus a few related examples. Matching ignores letter case and preserves the source wording.

A limited editing signal

A match does not prove that a phrase is weak, wrong, or unsuitable. The tool does not judge the whole piece, suggest replacements, detect every cliche, or cover every language and variation.

Local highlighting

Matching and highlighting happen in your browser. Your text is not uploaded, saved, or rewritten.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does this find every cliche?

No. It uses a small, fixed English phrase list. Treat matches as prompts for review, not as a complete assessment.

Is matching case-sensitive?

No. Letter case is ignored while the original capitalization remains visible in the highlighted text.

Does it support other languages?

The matching list is English only and does not claim coverage for other languages or phrase variations.
