Closed Caption Style Previewer
Adjust a caption design against dark, bright, and colorful mock scenes. The preview is a styling aid, not a video player or a complete caption accessibility check.
These abstract sample scenes are not video. A visual preview does not test caption timing, placement in a real player, or accessibility compliance.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Edit the sample caption and choose an abstract scene.
- Adjust text and background colors, opacity, size, weight, shadow, and position.
- Inspect the live preview and copy the generated CSS if it fits your project.
Style controls and live preview
Preview caption text over dark, bright, or colorful abstract scenes. Adjust font size, text and box colors, box opacity, bold weight, shadow, and top or bottom placement; the generated CSS updates with the controls.
Mock scenes, not video
The backgrounds are CSS gradients rather than video frames. The tool does not import media, synchronize caption timing, test a real player, or assess subtitle file formats.
A visual design aid
Contrast and legibility depend on the real footage, playback size, device, and viewing conditions. This preview does not provide an accessibility or WCAG compliance verdict. Values remain in your browser.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Can I preview captions on my own video?
No. The tool uses three abstract CSS sample backgrounds and does not accept video uploads.
Does the preview certify readable or compliant captions?
No. It is a visual design aid only. Check caption contrast, timing, placement, and accessibility in the actual player and media.
Can I reuse the style?
Yes. Copy the generated CSS and adapt the class and values to your own caption renderer.
