A new browser recording at the chosen speed
This tool plays the decoded source at the selected rate, captures its frames at up to 30 frames per second, and records a new video stream. The output is a re-recorded copy rather than an edit of the original container. Faster speeds shorten the result; slower speeds lengthen it. Browser audio processing normally preserves pitch when that browser supports it.
Actual format, not a renamed file
The recorder chooses only a video MIME type it reports as supported. The download label shows that actual MIME type and the filename uses the matching WebM or MP4 extension. Support varies by browser, operating system, and installed codecs; source extensions alone cannot guarantee a usable decode or export.
Local limits and privacy
One source file may be up to 200 MB, 10 minutes, and 1920 × 1080. The slowest setting can create up to 20 minutes of output. Recording stops before 500 MB to keep memory use bounded. Decoding, playback, recording, preview, and download happen in this browser; the selected video is not uploaded.

Common questions
Which video files can I use?
Choose a video your current browser can decode, within the stated file, duration, and resolution limits. Common MP4, WebM, and MOV files may work, but the page validates the decoded media rather than trusting the extension.
Will I get the same format as my source video?
Not necessarily. The output is a new MediaRecorder recording in the browser-supported format shown on the finished result. It can be WebM or MP4, and it does not copy source metadata, chapters, captions, or container bytes.
Why did recording stop before the whole video finished?
The page stops at 500 MB, and it also stops when the browser cannot continue recording. Choose a shorter clip, a faster speed, or a smaller source resolution if the output reaches the limit.
Does this tool upload my video?
No. The source is decoded, played, recorded, and downloaded on your device. Nothing is sent to a server by this tool.
