A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Choose a CSV file or paste CSV text and select the date order used by your data.
  2. Map the event, start, end, and optional detail columns.
  3. Review assumptions and skipped rows, then copy or download the ICS file.

Explicit mapping

The converter never guesses silently: choose which CSV columns represent the title, start, end, all-day flag, location, and description. Rows without a title or valid start are shown as skipped.

Local and standards-aware

Dates are interpreted as floating local times, with a visible date-order choice for ambiguous numeric dates. Text is escaped for iCalendar and folded at UTF-8 octet boundaries. No file is uploaded or sent to a calendar service.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does this connect to my calendar?

No. It creates a local .ics file only; import it into a calendar yourself if you choose.

What happens to ambiguous dates?

You choose MDY, DMY, or YMD before conversion. That assumption is shown with the result.

Are skipped rows hidden?

No. The result reports every skipped row and its reason.
