Dial-up Modem Simulator
Enter a demo number and watch a fictional modem connect sequence unfold. Every step is simulated in your browser.
This is a retro modem experience only. It never dials, calls a phone number, opens a network connection, or contacts a service. Audio is synthesized locally in this browser.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter any demo number and choose a connection speed.
- Optionally enable local modem tones, then select Dial.
- Stop or reset the sequence; the result never represents a real call or connection.
Retro experience, bounded behavior
The dial, carrier, negotiation, and connected stages are timed fiction designed for an interactive retro feel. The number is displayed only as local demo text.
Audio stays on device
When enabled, short modem-like tones are produced with the Web Audio API in this tab. No recording, upload, phone integration, or external audio file is used.
