A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Select one JPEG or PNG within the limits.
  2. Read its stored dimensions and any recognized density.
  3. Compare print size for each stored density source.

Density and print size

Print size equals stored pixel dimensions divided by stored DPI. Separate metadata sources are shown separately when they disagree. Density metadata does not guarantee print quality.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does this change the image?

No. It reads metadata only, with no conversion, rewriting, scaling or upload.

What if DPI is missing?

The dimensions remain available, but DPI and physical print size are not invented. Only absolute JFIF/EXIF resolution and PNG pHYs density are recognized.
