Remove emoji from text
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter up to 50,000 characters.
- Choose Remove emoji to process the text locally.
- Copy or download the cleaned text.
Browser-native Unicode handling
Each grapheme cluster is examined with Intl.Segmenter. A cluster containing an emoji presentation character, extended pictographic character, regional indicator, or keycap sequence is removed as one unit.
A clear evolving-Unicode limit
Emoji definitions and joined sequences change over time. This tool follows the Unicode property data built into your browser, so newly assigned or unusual sequences may remain until the browser updates. Processing, copying, and downloading stay in the browser; input is limited to 50,000 characters and output to 250,000.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Does it remove emoji joined with skin tones or zero-width joiners?
Recognized grapheme clusters are removed together, including common skin-tone, flag, keycap, and zero-width-joiner sequences.
Will every future emoji be removed?
Not immediately. Detection follows your browser’s Unicode property data, so a newer emoji may remain until the browser supports it.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Processing, copying, and downloading happen locally in your browser.
