Extract Dates from Text
Paste text and extract only dates whose format is explicit enough to identify safely.
Paste text to find clearly formatted dates. The scanner recognizes only YYYY-MM-DD, YYYY/MM/DD, and English month-name dates; ambiguous regional numeric formats are ignored.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste text to scan.
- Extract the supported date patterns.
- Review, copy, or reuse the matched date strings.
Explicit pattern list
The scanner recognizes YYYY-MM-DD, YYYY/MM/DD, Month D, YYYY, and D Month YYYY, using English full or abbreviated month names. It validates the calendar date before returning the original match.
No ambiguous parsing
It does not infer whether a numeric slash date is month-first or day-first, and it does not interpret natural-language dates, relative dates, timestamps, or time zones.
Local extraction
Matching and validation happen in this browser. The input is not uploaded or stored.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Does it parse every date people might write?
No. It intentionally supports only the listed explicit patterns.
What happens to 03/04/2025?
It is ignored because the regional order is ambiguous.
Does it normalize the dates?
No. The output preserves each matched date string exactly as written.
