Literal delimiters
Delimiters are searched as plain text. Regex syntax is never interpreted.
Non-overlapping pairs
Matches are scanned left to right. After a pair is closed, its delimiters are not reused, so overlapping matches are skipped.

Input is limited to 1 MiB and stays in your browser.

Common questions
Are delimiters regular expressions?
No. Both delimiters are literal strings, including punctuation and whitespace.
What happens when a delimiter is missing?
That incomplete pair is omitted, and scanning stops when no closing delimiter remains.
Can matches overlap?
No. Each completed pair consumes its delimiters before the next search begins.
