Filter Words in Text
Filter up to 1 MiB of text locally. Add optional include and exclude term lists, choose lines or tokens, and review the result before copying.
Input: 0 · Output: 0 · Removed: 0
Terms are literal text, not regular expressions. Include terms are optional; an excluded match always removes the line or token. Processing stays in your browser.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste text and enter literal include or exclude terms, one per line, comma, or semicolon.
- Choose line or token filtering and case sensitivity.
- Run the filter, review the counts, and copy the output.
Literal include and exclude terms
Terms are trimmed, deduplicated within each list, and matched as literal case-sensitive or case-insensitive substrings. Include terms are optional; an excluded match always removes the item.
Lines or tokens
Line mode preserves each kept line and joins output with LF. Token mode splits on whitespace and joins kept tokens with one space; punctuation attached to a token remains part of that token.
Local processing
Input is limited to 1 MiB and stays in the browser. Regular expressions are not evaluated.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Can I use regular expressions?
No. Every include and exclude term is literal text.
What happens when the include list is empty?
Every item is eligible unless it matches an exclude term.
Are duplicate terms counted twice?
No. Duplicate terms in each list are removed before matching.
