A real PDF, made locally
The decoder and PDF writer run after you choose Create PDF in this browser. The page creates a PDF document and embeds a newly decoded JPEG image; it does not rename the HEIC file or upload the image, filename, or result to Hello Keyboard Tools.
One image, one fitted page
Choose A4 (210 × 297 mm) or US Letter (8.5 × 11 in). Match image orientation makes wide photos landscape and tall photos portrait; Portrait and Landscape force the page direction. The image keeps its aspect ratio and fits inside 0.5-inch margins without stretching or cropping.
Explicit HEIC boundary
This version accepts one HEIC or HEIF container with a recognized HEIC-family brand, up to 12 MB. It deliberately rejects generic HEIF/MIAF and AVIF. If a source contains more than one image, only the first is used. The output is a new JPEG inside a PDF, so source EXIF, GPS, animation, alpha, and original HEIC encoding are not preserved.

Common questions
Does this make a real PDF?
Yes. The download is a PDF document with one standard PDF page and a JPEG image object; it is not a HEIC file with a renamed extension.
Will the photo be cropped or stretched?
No. The decoded image keeps its aspect ratio and is scaled to fit inside the selected paper area. Blank space can remain when the photo and paper have different proportions.
Does the page upload my HEIC photo?
No. Container checks, HEIC decoding, JPEG creation, PDF writing, and downloading all run in the current browser.
Why did my HEIC image fail?
It may use an unsupported codec variant, exceed the declared limits after decoding, or need more browser memory than is available. Try a compatible export or a smaller original.
