Hue Modifier Tool
Choose the format matching your input, enter a color and a hue shift in degrees. The result uses the same format. HSL/HSV saturation and lightness/value are clamped to 0–100%; alpha is clamped to 0–1.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Choose HEX, HSL or HSV and enter a matching color.
- Enter a hue shift in degrees and review the result.
- Copy the result; no color data is uploaded.
Accepted syntax
HEX accepts 3, 4, 6 or 8 digits, with optional #. HSL and HSV accept their function name, decimal hue (optional deg), two percentages, and optional slash alpha as a number or percentage. This is a bounded parser, not a full CSS color parser.
Rounding and scope
HSL/HSV output uses one decimal place and alpha three. HEX channels and alpha are rounded to bytes. Hue may display as 360° after rounding, equivalent to 0°. Saturation, lightness/value and alpha remain as parsed; this does not certify contrast or accessibility.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Can I switch formats to convert the same text?
No. Choose the format matching the input syntax. The output stays in that format.
Does it preserve alpha?
Yes, after input clamping; display and HEX byte rounding can change its written precision.
