A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Paste up to 100,000 characters.
  2. Choose spaces or tabs, the amount, and whether blank lines should be indented.
  3. Indent the text, then copy or download the plain-text result.

Literal line-start indentation

The selected unit is inserted at the start of each selected line. Existing leading whitespace and trailing whitespace stay unchanged. CRLF, CR, and LF line endings are preserved exactly.

Blank lines are explicit

By default, empty and whitespace-only lines are left unchanged. You can opt in to indent every line, including blank lines. Input is limited to 100,000 characters and output to 500,000 characters.
