A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Paste addresses, one per line.
  2. Choose ascending or descending order and duplicate handling.
  3. Sort and select the result.

Strict address syntax

IPv4 requires four decimal octets from 0 to 255 without leading zeroes. IPv6 supports :: compression and a final IPv4 tail. CIDR, ports, brackets, zone IDs and hostnames are rejected.

Limits and privacy

At most 200,000 characters and 5,000 nonblank lines. Blank lines are ignored. No DNS lookup or network request occurs.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

How are mixed families sorted?

IPv4 and IPv6 are separate families. Ascending puts IPv4 first; descending puts IPv6 first. IPv4-mapped IPv6 stays IPv6.

Are duplicates removed?

Only when selected. Equal numeric addresses within one family are merged, keeping the first spelling. Otherwise every address is retained.
