A real PDF with one image page
The converter creates a PDF 1.4 document containing your decoded PNG as an image object. The page is the same width and height as the image in PDF points, so no scaling, cropping, or letterboxing is added.
Transparency is retained where PDF supports it
PNG alpha values are written as a PDF soft mask, which current PDF viewers use for transparent and semi-transparent pixels. The PDF page viewer background can still appear white or use its own paper color, so inspect the downloaded document in the viewer you plan to use.
Local limits and browser memory
Choose one valid PNG up to 20 MB, 6,000 pixels on either side, and 16 megapixels. The browser holds decoded pixels and compressed PDF data while creating the file, so these limits keep memory use practical. The new PDF does not copy PNG metadata, color profiles, comments, or original compressed bytes.

Is the download a real PDF?
Yes. The tool writes a PDF 1.4 document with an image page and downloads it with the application/pdf MIME type. It does not rename a PNG file with a .pdf extension.
