Camera access is an explicit choice
The page does not ask for camera access when it opens. It asks only after you select Start camera, and requests video only, never microphone access. Taking a photo or selecting Stop camera turns off this page’s camera tracks. You can also revoke access in the browser’s site permissions.
One bounded local image
Chosen files are limited to JPEG, PNG, or WebP, 20 MB, 10,000 pixels per side, and 40 megapixels. The PDF image is capped at 16 megapixels and 4,096 pixels per side, which keeps browser memory and the generated file practical. The browser may apply its normal image orientation and color handling; source metadata and transparency are not retained.
A real PDF, made on this device
The tool encodes the displayed image as a JPEG page image and writes PDF objects, a cross-reference table, and a trailer in the current browser. It does not upload, save on a server, or share the camera stream, selected image, preview, or PDF. Keep the original photo when you need its metadata or full resolution.

No. Camera preview, image decoding, PDF generation, and download happen in the current browser. This tool has no upload or server-storage path.
Why does the browser ask for permission?
Cameras are protected by browser permissions. The prompt appears only after you select Start camera, and you can choose a device image instead without granting camera access.
Is the download a real PDF?
Yes. The browser writes a PDF document containing one JPEG image object, rather than renaming an image file with a .pdf extension.
Will the PDF preserve my original image metadata?
No. The page makes a fresh JPEG for the fitted PDF page. It does not preserve source metadata, transparency, animated frames, or editable layers.
