Battery Bank Sizing Calculator
Sum your load watts × quantities × diversity percentages, then apply your autonomy, depth-of-discharge, efficiency and voltage. Daily energy mode: load Wh = daily Wh × autonomy days.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Choose load-table mode or daily-energy mode; enter all active fields.
- Enter your own autonomy, depth of discharge, efficiency and system voltage; then calculate.
- Calculate, then copy the report or download TXT.
Calculation
Effective W = Σ(W × quantity × diversity/100). Required Wh = effective W × hours ÷ ((DoD/100) × (efficiency/100)). Required Ah = Wh ÷ system V. Daily energy mode: load Wh = daily Wh × autonomy days.
What the result covers
This is arithmetic using your parameters, not a battery design or installation recommendation. No parameter defaults, charging curve or safety reserve are supplied. Battery chemistry, temperature, ageing, discharge-rate effects, protection and installation requirements need separate review.
Local processing
Inputs remain in your browser. Copy and TXT download contain your inputs, results, formula and scope note.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Is a recommended discharge percentage supplied?
No. Determine discharge, efficiency, diversity and autonomy independently for the intended system.
Does Ah determine how cells should be connected?
No. This only divides energy by the entered system voltage; it does not specify wiring, cell configuration or charging.
