Marine Battery Configurator Calculator
Calculate exact series counts and rounded-up parallel counts for user-specified battery and bank voltage and capacity.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter positive voltage and capacity for one battery.
- Enter your positive bank targets. Target voltage must be an exact integer multiple of single-battery voltage.
- Calculate, then copy the report or download TXT.
Calculation
Series = target V ÷ single V, only when the entered decimal ratio is an integer. Parallel = ceil(target Ah ÷ single Ah). Total = series × parallel. Actual V = single V × series; actual Ah = single Ah × parallel.
Input limits
Each numeric entry may contain at most 120 characters and must be a finite decimal. Decimal exponents after accounting for fractional digits must be within −1000 to 1000. Series, parallel and total counts must be positive safe integers no greater than 9,007,199,254,740,991. Values outside the representable range are rejected.
What the result covers
Ideal arithmetic only for batteries with identical chemistry, specifications and condition. It does not authorize wiring, BMS choices, charging or installation. No recommended values are supplied. Compatibility, balancing, protection and manufacturer requirements need independent professional review.

GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Will voltage be rounded upward?
No. A non-integer voltage multiple is rejected. The tool never changes your requested voltage to a higher multiple.
Why can actual Ah exceed the target?
A complete parallel string is required. The decimal capacity ratio is rounded upward, so actual capacity may exceed the target.
