Warning: this creates a destructive re-save. Form fields become non-editable. Signed, encrypted, damaged, and unsupported PDFs are rejected.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Choose one PDF up to 50 MB and 200 pages.
  2. Confirm that fields will be flattened and signatures, encryption, and damaged PDFs are unsupported.
  3. Flatten and download the new PDF.

Limited form flattening

This writes AcroForm field appearances into the page and removes those controls. It does not promise to flatten every annotation, comment, JavaScript action, or XFA control.

Destructive re-save warning

Flattening changes the document structure and may remove field editability. Signed, encrypted/password-protected, malformed, and unsupported PDFs are rejected.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Are all annotations flattened?

No. The contract covers interactive AcroForm fields only; other annotations are not guaranteed to be flattened.

Can I undo flattening?

Keep your original file. Flattening creates a new download and removes form editability from that output.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. PDF reading and flattening happen locally.
