A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Read the current device pixel ratio.
  2. Enter a CSS width or height if you want an estimated device-pixel conversion.
  3. Resize or change browser zoom to refresh the reported value.

Browser-reported ratio

The ratio comes from window.devicePixelRatio. It describes the current browser context and is not a calibrated measurement of a physical display.

Manual conversion only

The conversion is a local estimate: CSS pixels × DPR. Browser zoom, display scaling, and multi-monitor setups can affect the reported ratio and result.

Local-only

This tool reads browser APIs in the page and does not collect, upload, or persist the result.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Is this the physical pixel density?

No. It is the browser-reported device pixel ratio, not a measurement of physical pixels or millimeters.

Why can the ratio change?

Browser zoom, operating-system display scaling, moving a window between monitors, and privacy or emulation settings can change browser-reported values.

Does it send the result anywhere?

No. The values stay in this browser tab.
