Reader Mode
Paste an article’s HTML to create an isolated reading view. A conservative heuristic selects the main content; review the extracted text before reading.
Reader Mode
Paste HTML to begin.
Speech requires browser support and uses the page language. Voice services depend on your browser and operating system and may use a network connection.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste page-source HTML or load the example.
- Open the reading view and check the selected title and body.
- Choose a theme and font size, or listen using browser speech.
Local pasted-content workflow
This tool does not fetch article URLs or use a proxy. Paste up to 200,000 characters of HTML. It rejects over 10,000 nodes or deeply nested input.
Conservative extraction
Article and main landmarks take priority, then paragraph-rich sections. This is not Mozilla Readability and cannot guarantee perfect selection. Source attributes, media, scripts and forms are removed; simple text formatting remains.
Reading controls
Use light, dark or sepia and 14–32 px text. Speech reads the first 30,000 characters in the page language when supported; browser or operating-system voice services may use the network.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Can I enter an article URL?
No. Open the article yourself and paste its page source or article HTML here.
Why is some content missing?
The heuristic may choose the wrong section. Paste a smaller excerpt. Images, embedded media and interactive elements are intentionally excluded.
