How to use this tool

A one-request Cloudflare Images process
Choosing Remove background sends the selected JPEG, PNG, or WebP through this site’s Cloudflare Worker to Cloudflare Images, using its foreground-segmentation feature. The application does not store the image, filename, output, or a request history in Images, R2, D1, or this site’s quota object. Do not submit confidential, personal, or otherwise sensitive images if you do not want Cloudflare to process them.
Clear input and output boundaries
This release accepts one decodable JPEG, PNG, or WebP image up to 10 MB and 40 megapixels. It returns a new transparent PNG directly to the browser. It does not support GIF, SVG, HEIC, batch work, manual brushing, layer editing, source-metadata retention, or preserving the original image encoding.
Bounded free service, not a guarantee
To remain within the intended free allocation, requests are limited to two per minute per network at an edge location and 4,500 accepted requests across the site per UTC month. Cloudflare can also decline processing when its own free service is unavailable. The tool stops with an error in those cases; it does not switch to a paid plan, another model, or a third-party processor.

Common questions
Where is my image processed?
The browser sends the file to this site’s Cloudflare Worker only after you choose Remove background. The Worker passes the request to Cloudflare Images for foreground segmentation and returns the PNG. This application does not persist the image, filename, or result.
Which files can I use?
Use a decodable JPEG, PNG, or WebP image up to 10 MB and 40 megapixels. The output is always a transparent PNG, even if the input was JPEG or WebP.
Will every edge be perfect?
No. Foreground segmentation is an automated estimate, not a manual masking editor. Fine hair, transparent or reflective materials, busy backgrounds, shadows, and overlapping subjects can need inspection or a different source image.
Why did I receive a limit or unavailable message?
The site has a small per-minute limit and a UTC-month cap to stay within its intended free allocation. Cloudflare can also reject a request when its own free image service is unavailable. No paid or third-party fallback is used.
