Reverse a Binary String

Enter a string containing only 0 and 1 to reverse its bit characters in place. This is a string operation, not numeric bit reversal with signed semantics.

Use only 0 and 1. The exact width and leading zeros are preserved.

Enter a binary string to begin.

This reverses the bit characters in their exact width; it is not numeric bit reversal with signed-integer semantics.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter 1–10,000 characters containing only 0 and 1.
  2. Choose Reverse bits.
  3. Copy the result with its original width and leading zeroes.

Exact width

The result has exactly the same number of characters as the input. Leading zeroes are preserved wherever they occur after reversal.

Strict validation

The input must be non-empty and contain only the ASCII characters 0 and 1, up to 10,000 characters.

String semantics

This reverses bit characters in a fixed-width string. It is not a numeric bit reversal and does not apply signed-integer or two’s-complement semantics.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Are leading zeroes preserved?

Yes. The output keeps the exact input width, including zeroes at the beginning or end.

Does this convert the binary value to a number?

No. It reverses characters directly and does not parse a signed or unsigned integer.

Is my input uploaded?

No. Validation and reversal run locally in your browser.
